Job Description - QC Welding Inspector

Responsibilities:

• Perform quality control inspections on welded components to ensure adherence to specifications and standards
• Conduct visual inspections of welds to check for defects such as cracks, porosities, and incomplete weld penetration
• Utilize testing equipment such as ultrasonic testing, dye penetrant testing, and radiographic testing to evaluate weld quality
• Generate inspection reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective actions
• Work closely with welding team to address any issues and ensure compliance with welding procedures

Skill Sets:

1. Strong knowledge of welding processes and techniques
2. Experience with various inspection methods and equipment
3. Attention to detail and ability to identify defects in welds
4. Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaboration
5. Certification in welding inspection (e.g. AWS or CSWIP) preferred
