The QC Painting & Coating Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all painting and coating processes meet quality standards and specifications. They conduct inspections, perform tests, and maintain detailed records to ensure the durability and appearance of painted surfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect painting and coating work to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Perform adhesion, thickness, and hardness tests on painted surfaces
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results and communicate with project managers
• Identify and report any defects or non-conformities in painting and coating processes
• Train painting and coating team members on quality control procedures
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for painting and coating inspections

Skill Sets:

• Knowledge of painting and coating processes and materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Experience with quality control procedures and inspection techniques
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Certification in painting or coating inspection (e.g. NACE, SSPC) preferred
