Responsibilities:

• Operate grinding machines to grind, smooth, and polish surfaces of metal, plastic, or other materials
• Ensure workpieces are properly positioned and secured during the grinding process
• Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure they meet specifications
• Adjust machine settings to achieve desired results
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents

Skill Sets:

• Experience operating grinding machines
• Knowledge of different types of grinding techniques and materials
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
• Excellent problem-solving skills
